FAQ
Wait, this is actually free?
Yes. Seats Forever is free to join — email address only, no payment. We run a newsletter, sell ad spots to brands who want access to a real Michigan football fan list, and use that revenue to buy face-value tickets. We give the tickets away by lottery to members. No membership fees, no upsells, no payment tier.
What's the catch?
There isn't one. The business model is newsletter advertising, not membership fees. Brands pay to reach a verified, capped, engaged list of Michigan fans. That revenue funds the seat purchases. Members pay nothing.
Why is membership capped at 107,501?
107,501 is the official seating capacity of Michigan Stadium — the largest college football stadium in the country. The cap isn't a gimmick. A smaller, capped list has higher engagement, which commands higher CPMs from sponsors, which means more revenue to buy seats with. The cap protects the economics that make the whole program work.
What happens when you hit the cap?
Once we reach 107,501 members, the waitlist opens and membership closes permanently. Members who got in before the cap hold founding numbers that will never be reissued. If you're reading this and the cap hasn't filled, you can still get in.
Are you affiliated with the team / league / venue?
No. Seats Forever is an independent program. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any team, league, conference, or venue. We buy tickets the same way you would — on the open market.
Why do you not use team names or stadium names?
Because we do not need to. We refer to venues by city and sport. It is clear what we mean. Trademarked names belong to their owners, and using them would imply an affiliation we do not have.
How are seats distributed?
Lottery. Each home game, every active member is entered. Winners are drawn at random. Tickets are delivered electronically a few days before the game.
What if I win and cannot go?
You can pass your entry to another member at the same venue, or release it back to the pool for re-draw. We do not allow resale of giveaway seats.
How does the newsletter work?
Twice a week, you get a short dispatch tuned for Michigan football fans. We sell two ad spots per issue to local and national brands. That's the entire revenue stream that funds ticket purchases. The newsletter is the engine.
Why not charge for membership?
A free list that's capped and engaged is more valuable to sponsors than a paid list that anyone can join. Newsletter ad CPMs for a verified, exclusive fan community are significantly higher than for generic email lists. More sponsor revenue means more seats given away. Free membership is the better economics.
What about other venues — not just Michigan?
Michigan Stadium is the flagship. The site covers a wide range of pro and college football venues for the encyclopedia and lottery program. If your venue is already in our list, you can sign up for it. Michigan Stadium at 107,501 is the founding cap for the program.
How do I unsubscribe?
One click in any dispatch email. No retention loops, no five-screen flows. Gone, forever.
Will you sell my email?
Never. Your email exists so we can enter you in lotteries and send the newsletter. That's it.
