Neighborhood
In downtown Buffalo near the Canalside district at the foot of Main Street, steps from the Lake Erie waterfront. Canalside's bars, restaurants, and seasonal events sit right outside the gates, and the Metro Rail runs up Main Street through downtown to the arena's doorstep. Indoor and fully climate-controlled, warm and comfortable inside regardless of the season. The exposure is the walk in: Buffalo winters are cold and lake-effect snow is common, so bundle up for the trek from parking or the Metro Rail stop.
Food inside
Buffalo's food is the whole point: Buffalo wings with blue cheese, beef on weck (roast beef on a caraway-salt kummelweck roll), and local sausage, plus a strong roster of Western New York craft beer. The wings and the beef-on-weck stands are the local-color picks worth the line.
Food and pre-game outside
