- Indoor, climate-controlled hockey arena with a standard three-tier bowl: lower bowl (100s), club and suite levels (200s), and upper bowl (300s). The building is modern and steep, with the seating pulled in close to the ice and a large center-hung scoreboard. Sightlines are clean from nearly every seat given the recent design.
Neighborhood
In Elmont on Long Island, right beside the Belmont Park racetrack and just east of the Queens line, about 30 to 40 minutes from Midtown Manhattan. This is a purpose-built arena on a redeveloped racetrack site rather than a downtown building, so the immediate surroundings are the arena complex, retail, and the racetrack rather than a dense bar district. The big advantage is its own dedicated Long Island Rail Road station at the door, which makes it reachable from the city and across Long Island without a car.
What it feels like
One of the newest arenas in the league, so everything feels current: wide concourses, good sightlines, and a bowl designed to hold noise. The Islanders' fan base is passionate and carries traditions built up over decades, and the crowd gets loud on rivalry and playoff nights. Because it sits next to the racetrack with its own train station, the arrival feels more like a modern transit hub than an old-city building. The setting is suburban Long Island, so the energy is inside the bowl rather than spilling into surrounding streets.

- A dedicated Long Island Rail Road station (Elmont-UBS Arena) serves the building directly on game and event days, making it easy to reach from Penn Station and Grand Central in Manhattan and from points across Long Island. This is the recommended way in and out.

Fully indoor and climate-controlled, comfortable year-round regardless of Long Island weather. Only the walk from the train or the parking lots is exposed, so bring a coat for cold winter nights.
Food inside
The menu leans into New York and Long Island tastes: deli-style sandwiches, pizza and slices, and a strong roster of regional craft beer. Look for the local vendor stands the arena rotates in, which bring recognizable Long Island and New York names to the concourses.
Food and pre-game outside
The arena complex has retail and dining on site, and the racetrack area adds options on event days. There is no dense walkable bar district immediately outside, so most fans eat within the complex or take the train back toward the city or their town for a fuller scene.
Accessibility
ADA seating with companion seats on every level and accessible routes from all entrances, in line with the building's recent construction. Accessible parking near the entrances; the dedicated LIRR station and platforms are accessible. Sensory resources are available through guest services.

- Take the LIRR to the dedicated Elmont station; it is the easiest way in and out and skips the lot backup.
- As one of the newest arenas in the league, sightlines and concourses are excellent from nearly every seat.
